Havukanto tar and chaga balm combines two traditional Finnish ingredients, tar and chaga, with cold-pressed organic hemp oil and organic beeswax. This rich balm is made especially for dry, rough, hard-working skin exposed to wind, frost and manual work.

Ingredients

  • Tar – a traditional Finnish ingredient that gives the balm its characteristic smoky scent.
  • Chaga – a fungus that grows on birch trees and has traditionally been used in many ways in Finland. Naturally contains antioxidants.
  • Cold-pressed organic hemp oil – naturally contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Moisturises and softens the skin and absorbs well.
  • Organic beeswax – forms a protective film on the skin that helps lock in moisture and gives the balm its rich texture.

Who is it for?

  • dry, rough skin, for example on hands and feet
  • craftspeople, outdoor workers and anyone who spends a lot of time outside
  • lovers of the smell of tar – the balm has a strong, genuine tar scent

How to use

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin as needed. The warmth of your skin softens the balm so it spreads easily. For external use only. Do not apply to broken skin. Stop using if irritation occurs. Contains beeswax.

Havukanto and the Sulapack jar

Havukanto balms are made in Finland from locally sourced ingredients such as organic hemp oil, spruce resin, meadowsweet, tar and chaga. The balm comes in a biodegradable Sulapack jar made from wood fibre and plant-based binders – a responsible alternative to a plastic jar.
